Wiweeki is seeking a Senior Full Stack NodeJS Developer to join our growing team. We’re looking for someone with top-notch technical skills and a commitment to staying on the cutting edge and helping to build a strong team that embraces a culture of learning and collaboration. This position involves working in an agile DevOps environment to develop reusable software components in support of the biomedical research community. • Working in a dynamic team of developers, designers and architects.

What a day in the life looks like:

  • Develop/enhance/maintain integrations, applications (web-based, mobile and IoT) and websites
  • Automate the build-test-release process to deliver value faster and more reliably
  • Build secure, performant, reusable and maintainable code; organize code libraries for future use
  • Manage technical aspects of Focus on the Family’s digital properties, including writing, testing, and releasing code
  • Address issues such as application security, application performance, small enhancements and bug fixes
  • Deliver secure, performant solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
  • Following Agile and DevOps best practices to execute, manage and collaborate on client projects.
  • Using the latest development tools and processes, and constantly learning new ones.
  • Developing quality code for new applications, APIs and legacy systems.
  • Developing and supporting comprehensive documentation and automated testing and deployment processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise with NodeJS and associated technologies such as Angular, Express, and the LoopBack
  • Extensive experience developing and working with REST APIs.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment and using tools like Travis, Jenkins, CodeCov, and Snyk.
  • Solid experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with source control and team collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira)
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and spoken. Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and provide mentoring and assistance to other developers.
  • 5 years of a successful track record as a full stack developer
  • Ability to work independently to help provide technical direction and leadership.
