We currently have a position open in Federal Business Development for a hands-on individual to lead our efforts in sourcing and closing Federal business deals. The type of individual we are looking for is a very motivated, intelligent, inquisitive, driven, enthusiastic, hard-working individual.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the entire business development and capture management life cycle for federal government support services opportunities.
- Builds the sales pipeline and a plan to identify, generate, develop and close sales opportunities with a focus on federal government accounts.
- Develops new professional relationships with federal government agencies throughout the United States for sales and growth opportunities.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive network of teaming partners to pursue opportunities defined in the sales plan.
- Defines and shapes sales, team agreements and other contractual required sales documents.
- Builds a strong pipeline of new business opportunities such that the sales pipeline reflects the capability to exceed sales goals.
- Conducts research utilizing federal data resources, including but not limited to, FPDS-NG, USASpending.gov, etc. to identify upcoming opportunities.
- Delivers presentations to prospective customers to demonstrate services.
- Analyzes the needs of customers and determines how to position the company\’s services to competitively meet those requirements.
- Understands competitive landscape in order to effectively articulate our company\’s competitive advantage.
- Collaborates with customers and teaming partners on a daily basis to generate sales revenue and provide account management support.
- Provides professional leadership and coordination for all sales efforts.
- Acts as liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of products and services.
- Performs Bid/No-Bid Analysis and make recommendations using corporate processes and procedures.
- Hosts internal kick-off meetings for proposals and subsequent awards to ensure availability of internal resources as well as successful post-award transition.
- Responds to RFx requests by assisting in the complete proposal response process, to include win themes, discriminators, pricing, past performance, color team reviews and price-to-win strategy sessions.

Required:
- Possesses 5 to 10 years+ sales experience selling support services to federal customers. Average tenure 3+ years highly desired
- Proven history of locating and winning federal services contracts
- In-depth experience assisting with the proposal development process
- Proposal writing experience
- Previous experience as Capture Manager for large SI, preferred.
- Strong experience and capabilities within MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert in using and leveraging federal government opportunity sites, such as FBO.gov, GSA eBUY, etc
